Children's Scrapstore

Children's Scrapstore is a reuse charity dedicated to helping businesses divert reusable waste away from landfill/energy recovery to help improve art and play opportunities for children and young people.
John James Bristol Foundation awarded a £5,000 grant to deliver 10 family art events in disadvantaged areas of Bristol including Hartcliffe, Southmead, St Judes, Keynsham, Horfield, Hareclive, Bristol Centre, St Werburghs and St Pauls. Some events were specifically designed for refugee groups, for people with neurodivergence and SEND, others were open access events and available to all. In total the project reached out to 1,119 children and 846 adults.

One of the goals of the Foundation is to help improve the outcome of disadvantage children in Bristol and to promote wellbeing in some of the City's most underprivileged communities.
