The Bristol Ensemble aims to share the gift of music with all communities. They champion young people, nurturing young musicians in the orchestra and run Preludes Music, a respected education programme.

Running since 2009, Preludes Music delivers high-quality music education and inspirational cultural experiences to over 3000 local children a year. More than 80% of children attending live in communities experiencing economic deprivation, who would be unlikely to access music without our support.

John James Bristol Foundation hope that the funding will help Bristol Ensemble reach more children than ever before.
