Introduction

 The Foundation’s financial year runs from 1 October until 30 September and during the year to 30 September 2017 grants were made totalling £1,794,774. This total was largely split between the Foundation’s main areas of interest namely Education, Health and the Elderly.

This included £210,000 towards John James Award Scheme grants held in Bristol Independent Schools and £129,500 for Prizes and Awards grants spread over both state and independent Bristol secondary schools.

This included £21,950 in grants for show tickets which were then offered to elderly residents of Bristol and £48,340 granted to clubs for the elderly to enable them to buy a few special extras for their Christmas Parties.
