The Foundation’s financial year runs from 1 October until 30 September and during the year to 30 September 2016 grants were made totalling £1,673,032. This total was largely split between the Foundation’s main areas of interest: Education, Health and the Elderly.

This included £210,000 towards John James Award Scheme grants held in Bristol Independent Schools and £131,000 for Prizes and Awards grants spread over both state and independent Bristol secondary schools.
